Messenger Privacy Notice

Effective from: July 2026

Overview

This Messenger Privacy Notice applies to the peer-to-peer messaging feature available within the Zevlian app. It explains how One Stone sp. z o.o., a company registered in Poland and the operator of Zevlian, handles data related to your use of Zevlian Messenger.

This notice should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, Personal Terms, and Community Standards. Where this notice does not cover a particular topic, the Privacy Policy applies.

What is Zevlian Messenger?

Zevlian Messenger is an in-app messaging service that allows Zevlian users to communicate with each other directly within the Zevlian app.

You can only message other Zevlian users with whom you have had a prior payment interaction. Once you have sent or received a payment from another user, that person becomes one of your contacts and you may exchange messages with them through Zevlian Messenger.

Can Zevlian read your messages?

No. Zevlian cannot read the content of your messages. Your conversations are encrypted end-to-end, which means that only you and the person you are communicating with can see what is sent. Zevlian does not have access to the plaintext content of your messages.

However, Zevlian can see certain payment information associated with your messaging activity. See the sections below for details on what information Zevlian does and does not have access to.

Messages

All messages sent through Zevlian Messenger are encrypted end-to-end. This means that the content of your messages is scrambled in transit and at rest, and can only be decrypted by the intended recipient. Zevlian does not hold the keys needed to decrypt your message content and therefore cannot access, read, or disclose it to any third party.

Other information

While Zevlian cannot read the content of your messages, we do have access to certain metadata associated with your messaging activity. This includes:

  • The time and date when messages are sent and received
  • The identity of the users you are communicating with (i.e., who is in your conversation)
  • When you open or reopen a chat session

This metadata is necessary for the operation of the messaging service and for Zevlian to fulfil its legal and regulatory obligations.

Payment information

Zevlian can access information related to payment activity that takes place through the messaging feature. Specifically, Zevlian has visibility into payment-related data when you:

  • Request a payment from another user through messaging
  • Send a payment to another user through messaging
  • Accept or decline a payment request received through messaging

This payment data includes details such as the amount, currency, transaction status, and the identities of the sender and recipient. Zevlian requires access to this information to process your transactions and to comply with applicable financial regulations.

How can you change your preferences?

Your ability to manage messaging preferences is currently limited, but you do have the following options:

  • Delete conversations: You can delete individual conversations, which removes them from your Transfers list. Please note that deleting a conversation only hides it from your view; the other participant may still retain their copy.
  • Block contacts: The ability to block specific contacts from messaging you is a feature that will be available in a future update. Once available, blocking a contact will prevent them from sending you messages through Zevlian Messenger.

Where can you find more information?

For comprehensive information about how Zevlian handles your personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy covers the following topics in detail:

  • Which company is the data controller for your personal data
  • Why we collect and process your personal data
  • How we share your data with third parties

  • How long we retain your data
  • Your rights as a data subject under applicable law
